Acuity is growing

The Acuity team is constantly growing and developing. Take a look at a few profiles of team members that have joined over the last 12 months:

Philip Miller

Philip joined Acuity as Vice President in 2019, bringing over 10 years’ experience across both M&A advisory and Corporate Development roles with the last 4 years focusing on TMT. He brings a unique buy-side understanding to Acuity and a deep understanding of the European Cloud Computing and B2B networking landscape.

Philip qualified as a Chartered Accountant with BDO LLP whilst working in both the Restructuring and Corporate Finance teams in Bristol and London. Following his time at BDO LLP he worked at Interoute, a PE backed leading Telecoms and Cloud Computing business, to drive an aggressive European growth strategy in the Corporate Development team.

Philip’s role at Interoute culminated in the $2.3bn sale to GTT Communications Inc, a NYSE listed Cloud Connectivity provider, where he facilitated a 100-day plan for the integration of the two businesses. He joins Acuity to help impart his deep experience, knowledge and buy-side perspective in cross-border TMT and strategic M&A to his clients.

Christopher Franzmayr

After graduating from The TGM (a Higher Technical Federal College) with a specialisation in Industrial Engineering with Honours, Christopher went on to complete his mandatory Civil Service in Austria.  He studied Economics at the WU Vienna (University of Business and Economics Vienna). After completing an exchange in Florida, Christopher graduated with a 1,7 GPA and received the WU’s merit Scholarship. He is currently enrolled in the Masters program in Economics.

During his time at University, Christopher worked as a financial advisor at Erste bank, Austria’s largest banking institute. Here he took a junior leadership position and worked on innovation campaigns regarding their app “George”.

Chris Knaup

Chris originally completed a first class engineering degree from the University of Sheffield, during which he spent a year abroad at the National University of Singapore. His undergraduate degree also included a 12 month placement with GE Aviation, resulting in a growing preference for a business focused role rather than a purely technical one. Chris subsequently graduated, with distinction, from the University of Bristol with a MSc in Economics, Finance & Management and went on to spend a year in PwC’s Deals Valuations team in London.

Whilst completing his dissertation, Chris worked at the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Alternative Finance, where he focused on researching various European crowdfunding markets and competed at the European Debating Championships in Estonia. This broad and varied background allows Chris to effectively merge a company’s technical value proposition to its financial insights. Additionally, having attended school and university in Europe and Asia, he is fluent in Dutch and English, as well as conversational in Spanish.
