Acuity advises Hornetsecurity, German market leader in cloud security, on their cross-border acquisition of Spamina

German cloud security expert Hornetsecurity, has announced the acquisition of Spamina, a leading Spanish email security company.

The acquisition will significantly expand its market by extending the international reach of Hornetsecurity throughout Spain as well as providing access to the South American market. Acuity’s Oliver Markl supported and advised Hornetsecurity on this transaction.

Hornetsecurity is the leading German cloud security provider and secures the IT infrastructure, digital communications and data of companies and organisations of all sizes. The product portfolio includes services in the areas of mail security, web security and file security. All of the company’s services can be implemented in a short time and are available around the clock. Around 200 Hornetsecurity employees are located in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, the USA and South America. Among its customers are KONICA MINOLTA, Bitburger Braugruppe, LVM Versicherung, DEKRA, Melitta and the Otto Group.

Spamina is a European-based IT security company that secures corporate digital communications. Spamina provides a secure communications environment that ensures business continuity, service scalability and cost efficiency. Cloud services range from enterprise-wide secure email platform, enterprise mobile management, email and IM gateway protection, to archiving, encryption and DLP solutions for legal compliances. Spamina was advised by CREA Inversión.
